Voices of Hope performs Jesus Christ Superstar at North Shore Music Theatre to benefit cancer research.
Boston, MA, April 10, 2013: Now in its 5th year of performance, Voices of Hope (VOH) departs from established revue format to perform a complete rock opera. On Saturday, May 11, 2013, VOH will perform a full production of Jesus Christ Superstar at the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly. Doors open at 7:00pm for a silent auction followed by the performance at 8:00pm. A VIP reception with the cast will follow the show.
Voices of Hope (VOH) is an organization of more than 100 individuals from Greater Boston who voluntarily donate their time and creative talents to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, as well as providing education to the general public regarding the cancer experience. These inspirational performers are bound by a vital connection; each of their lives has been directly affected by cancer in some way.
Offering annual Spring and Fall performances, as well as a multitude of smaller appearances throughout the year, VOH has begun to establish a loyal following of fans who not only enjoy their music, but are connected to their commitment to benefit cancer research. With a now well-established repertoire of large scale performances at venues ranging from Boston Symphony Hall, Shalin Liu Theater, and Jordan Hall, this year, VOH decided to hold their Spring performance at North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT.)
“Being aware of our mission, our collective talent, and our track record of drawing a good audience, NSMT agreed to find a space for us in their 2013 calendar,” says Greg Chastain VOH Founder and President. “In addition to NSMT offering a wonderfully unique “in the round” venue, they are helping us promote the show through all of their own extensive marketing channels. As a lesser known entity, they wanted to be sure we offered a performance they knew would appeal to their established customers. Jesus Christ Superstar fit the bill of allowing our VOH vocalists, dancers, and musicians to display their skills, while delivering a show that is familiar and well-loved by a broad audience.”
